What customers say?

“ Old-school, cozy place. Prices may be on a slightly higher side, their signature food such as omrice, beef stew and hayashi rice are awesome. My choice of place for a classic Sunday evening. Free drink coupon always draws me back for the next visit. ”

“ If you are looking for a old school western restaurant, this is the one. You can have rich dishes for very reasonable price. The potion is not that much but you can still satisfy the dishes. ”

“ The restaurant had a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Lunch comes with soup and salad. Fried shrimp is 1,980 yen and comes with bread or rice. Tea or coffee is an additional 330 yen. Including the chocolate sundae (880 yen), the total came to 3,190 yen. The food was delicious and the menu was full of stars. ”

“ I received a lunch voucher as a celebration and visited. I imagined it would be a high-end restaurant, but it turned out to be a traditional Western restaurant. It's located in the basement, but it had an open-minded atmosphere. The course menu offered a choice. The main course was hamburger steak. The main dish was omelet rice, which was the only option! I told the waiter, "I want to eat freely, so please serve it without any gaps." He laughed and said, "Okay." The hamburger steak was amazing! The demi-glace (written as demi-glace in French) had a very mature flavor. It was a taste I'd never had before. It was wonderfully delicious. I had planned to eat freely, but I took my time savoring each bite. The restaurant seemed to be frequented by regulars, and many diners were solo. It was a quiet, unpretentious restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and a great place to enjoy the food. It's an area I don't often visit, but I'd definitely like to return. ”

“ This time, I just couldn't make the reservation, so I made it to the final reservation time of 9 PM. I arrived a few minutes (less than 5 minutes) late from 9 PM, and the staff looked at me suspiciously. I was told that the last order was at 9 PM, and reluctantly let them in. By the way, they said they had contacted me multiple times, but there was no call history on my cell phone. When they said that, I wanted to check when and to which number they contacted, but... I guess I could have read the situation and apologized. Honestly, if they were going to be so flustered, they should have made the final reservation time a little earlier... That said, it might be better to arrive a little earlier if you're making a reservation for 9 PM. Just be careful! This time, I ordered the limited-time hamburger steak with porcini cream sauce, which came with soup, salad, and rice (and bread) for 2,420 yen. Dinner in this area is often priced well over 10,000 yen, so I think this is a really reasonable restaurant. And the hamburger steak itself was absolutely delicious! Rather than traditional French cuisine, it's more like a good old-fashioned Japanese Western restaurant. The food is very familiar. First, the maitake mushrooms, sprinkled with salt and carefully grilled, were served. I was once again reminded of how delicious maitake mushrooms are. The other mushrooms also brought out their flavor, adding a touch of color. The hamburger steak meat filling was like a sponge filled with plenty of juices. The porcini cream sauce that came on top was amazing, with the synergy of the porcini, cream, and demi-glace sauce being amazing. It was deep, yet gentle and mild, and had an elegance that elevated the hamburger steak. It was so delicious that it moved me. I was short on time and had to rush my visit (sorry about that), but it's a restaurant I'd like to visit again and take my time. Thank you for the meal. ”

“ [The Basics of Western Cuisine Are Here] When I worked at Tamachi Biz Tower, I often frequented the branch of Grill Mantenboshi, which was located in the building next door. However, it closed down some time ago. Feeling a bit nostalgic, I decided to visit the main branch in Azabu Juban with a friend. Their "omurice" is absolutely delicious, so I decided to start with that in mind. While there are several options for lunch, I decided to order the "One Plate Mix," which allows you to choose two dishes. This set includes two dishes, soup, salad, and a choice of coffee or tea (¥2,420 including tax). You can choose two items from the following menu: ① Omelette Rice with Demi-Glace ② Chicken Curry ③ Seafood Pilaf ④ Dry Curry ⑤ Fried Shrimp ⑥ Crab Cream Croquette ⑦ Minced Meat Cutlet ⑧ Hamburger Steak ⑨ Cabbage Rolls ⑩ Seafood Salad *You can also change to beef stew for an additional ¥1,100. After hesitating between fried shrimp and crab cream croquette to go with my omurice, I decided on the crab cream croquette. It's rare to find a restaurant that serves a good crab cream croquette, but I decided to give it a try rather than the safe option of fried shrimp. First, the salad and soup arrived. The salad was lettuce with tomato and cucumber, and was served with a mayonnaise-flavored macaroni salad. The macaroni salad was a subtle delight. The soup was chicken-based and very tasty. At this point, the main plate was brought out. The omurice topped with small shrimp was a cute sight. It was topped with a rich (maybe a little too rich?) demi-glace sauce, and had a small filling that gave it an impressive flavor. The ketchup rice inside was quite tasty. The crab cream croquette was delicious, with more crab meat inside than I expected. Usually, it's heavy on the cream, but this one was delicious and had a nice umami flavor. I'm glad I chose it. Finally, the coffee I had ordered beforehand was brought. Well, I guess this was normal. It's been about 20 years since I last visited Grill Mantenboshi, and it brought back memories, but I was also happy to see that they had properly prepared basic Western food. It's also great for lunch meetings, so I should definitely come here more often. ”

“ It's been a while since I've been in the area, so I decided to have lunch at Grill Mantenboshi Azabu Juban Main Branch. It fills up quickly, so I called to make a reservation about 10 minutes before opening. I walked in as soon as they opened at 11am, told them I had a reservation, and was shown to my seat. I usually go to the Mitsukoshi Main Branch, so I've been going to this main branch for about two years. The menu is pretty much the same, so after much deliberation, I decided on the classic one-plate menu and ordered some house wine. Soup, salad, and a main plate. As expected, the flavors from the main branch are unmistakable. It was delicious. ”
